Additional detail for Basix Single Surface Manual 25" - 34" Height Range
Generation IV BASIX computer support furniture is intentionally designed to meet the demands of today’s workplace, these systems offer a generous but efficient use of space. Sturdy steel frames eliminate the need for restrictive crossbars between table legs, resulting in fewer bumps, bruises and banged shins. Tables are available in dual or single surface versions and rectilinear or corner designs. With convenient left or right-handed accessibility to operate the crank, the table height can be adjusted from 25” – 39.5”. For further convenience, the user can choose full product or frames only to utilize existing tops that can be easily retrofitted into existing panel-hung work surfaces – a cost-effective solution to reconfiguration. The Generation IV BASIX series is also the only desking system on the market that is easily upgraded to motorized operation.

Adjustability Features:
Two crank height control worm gear mechanisms (in left and right leg uprights) constructed of one-piece, machined and polished stainless steel, with Acme thread according to DIN 17100. It is vertically mounted to include the 7mm hex head fitting for crank handles. The unit is fitted with sinter metal gear wheel and axial grooved ball bearings and transversed between the two leg mechanisms by a self lubricating bicycle link chain type 25 ASA. Crank handles are positioned either on the left or right (user preference) at a location where the rotation of the handle and user's hand are free from obstructions (alternate surface, side positioned tables, adjacent panels or walls). The adjustment ratio is 6.5 turns per inch. Every crank table is manufactured with our unique Power Exchange Outlet (PXO).At anytime an inexpensive field installed (and replaceable) motor and toggle switch can be easily added. All tables are fitted with 1" leveling glides on the feet.

Maximum Weight Load:
All tables are life tested to ANSI BIFMA standards utilizing a static weight load of 400 lb. The final design permits a 5th percentile female worker to adjust the tables from a seated position with a minimum sustained force with a 175 lb load on bilevel surfaces and 220 lb. load on single surface tables. To maintain this performance standard and offset the top's weight, the 72" table contains one 500 Newton gas spring fitted to the leg upright.

Wire Management:
BASIX tables contain integrated wire management including grommet outlets through the surface, a horizontal trough for wire containment below the surface and our trademark expanded leg covers which remove for the vertical channeling of cables and the separation by leg of the power and data lines to avoid transmission inter-ference.

Added Features:
All single surface tables can be used in conjunction with SIS hft monitor arms, either edge clamp, with optional clamps for mounting and pod systems, or grommet hole mounted. The surfaces can be adjusted to best suit keyboard height, digitizer, source documents, etc. The monitor is independently adjustable for the terminal. This combination does not interfere with critical leg space like an articulating or drawer extending keyboard unit. The worksurface is clear.

Manual tables:
Manual Single Surface Tables, a secondary worksurface for dedicated single use operator position. Features height adjustable surface via extension and retraction of the inner leg tube and locking into position with knob activated pressure fit screws. Rule on side of table leg ensures ease of leveling. Manual tables cannot be upgraded to either crank or electric. They have a leg rule and lock into position with knob activated pressure fit screws.

Electric Motor:
All crank tables can be ordered either with electric controls or later upgraded.
